Mistaken for Twins...
Almost everytime I am out in public I am asked by a stranger if my girls are twins. On quick glance, I could see how people would make this assumption. They have the same hair and eye coloring, but that is where the resemblance ends. My response to the strangers is that they are 19 months apart but one is short and one is tall.
I have been meaning to write this down, but somehow I always forget. I was reminded again today when someone asked me the same question while the girls and I were out on a lunch date today.

So far behind...
Charlie has been hiding every morning for the girls. Each night Sant is given a great report on their behavior. Those good girls!!!
I just haven't gotten back into the swing of things since getting my computer back from the computer doctors! Yes, my new laptop got a nasty virus and cost me $250 to get it fixed! Right before the holidays. Lovely. Oh well. That will teach me never to let my anti-virus software lapse.
Here are some catch up photos of Charlie. I don't feel like adding the text. I will catch up someday. I have lots of Christmas Tree adventure pictures to post too.

Best Mommy Ever
I keep meaning to write this down and then I just get busy and forget. Sydney has always been a lovebug. Lots of hugs and kisses and cuddles. Lately she tells Jim and I that we are the best mommy and daddy ever. So sweet.
Speaking of things that the girls say, the other day Jim and I took the girls to AC Moore to buy some more coloring books. Sawyer was in the cart at the check out line with me and there was a woman in front of us who was older and had very thinning hair. It happened to be styled to her liking but apparently Sawyer thought it was messy. She asked me why her hair was messy. I told her it wasn't and that she needed to be quiet. Next thing I know, she catches this woman's attention and says "Why is your hair all messy." Yikes. I was hoping that the woman wouldn't understand toddler talk, but it was clear as day. She kindly responded by saying "because that is how I like it." I apologized but she kindly smiled and walked on. Ah, only from the mouth of babes...

Elf on the Shelf, Day 5 and 6
Charlie continues to surprise the girls every morning. Sydney likes to come downstairs first thing and search for him. He has been giving Santa a NICE report everyday!
Charlie thought it would be fun to try on the dress up clothes!
Charlie is jammin' to the girls' music. He likes Laurie Berkner Band too!

Making NY memories
It isn't often that I take my camera out on day to day outtings. Now that we will be moving back to PA, I am feeling more inclined to document some of our favorite activities here in NY. Weekends have become all about family time since our weekdays are so hectic. One of our favorites things to do these days is to head to the mall and play at the little play center. The kids have so much fun running around, climbing and sliding. After they wear themselves out we go to lunch at our newly discovered Hattie's Chicken Shack. YUMMY. Wish we had discovered this place 9 years ago! The girls chow on real chicken tenders...not the nasty yucky frozen ones!
I hope the girls look back at these pictures and remember the good times they had during this very difficult time for our family.

Just some random pix
I was the parent helper at school today so we spent most of the morning out of the house. The girls were so excited to get home and play dress up. It was just a fun day. Lots of excitement before daddy got home also made for a fun, relaxing afternoon.
Crazy Play
The girls were having so much fun playing this afternoon. Princess dresses, running around, hide and seek. The static electricity from the blankets wrecked havoc on their hair!
Studying
Sawyer took an early nap on Thursday but Sydney stayed up because it was speech day that afternoon. While Sawyer napped, Sydy and I sat down to study. She loves writing out her letters and drawing people.
I love that she is drawing people so much now. Faces, hair, arms, legs, and clothes. Very impressive.
Showing off her work. Do they teach anatomy in preschool?? hehehehehe

Elf on the Shelf, day 2
Charlie got busted sitting at mommy's computer...and snooping on mommy's facebook account. It didn't take long for the girls to find him this morning.
Sydney and Sawyer have been very NICE so Charlie has been giving good reports to Santa.

Emma G
We spent a long weekend at my parents' house so Sydney and Sawyer were in heaven visiting with Nana and Pap Pap and the kids. Emma is getting so big and she is now 7 months old. Sawyer is pretty much obsessed with this little baby. It is both charming and annoying!!!!! Poor Emma doesn't have any space to move when Soybean's hovering!!!
Thanksgiving
We had so much fun visiting family at Thanksgiving. We spent Thursday with Jim's family and had an awesome meal. Teddy loves taking care of my girls. And the girls love hanging out with everyone.

25 days of Elf on the Shelf
The girls woke up this morning very excited to find "Charlie" their Elf. I will try to be a little more creative for the next 24 days, but figured I would start out simple this morning. "Charlie" gave Santa a great report on the girls' behavior. They were very NICE. They played well together (like always), they ate well and they took good naps. Mommy, Charlie and Santa are very proud!
Hopefully tomorrow's report will be just a good.
I will be scouring Pinterest for more Elf on the Shelf ideas. Stay tuned for the next 24 days. I am committed to keeping up : )

Who does she look like....
I think the full lips and wavy hair prove that she is all me. I will give her daddy credit for the long eye lashes.
