Snow Days!

Spring break week, school on Monday, and then two snow days with the "big snowstorm!"

It was fun! As always, playing outside, sled riding, hot chocolate, crafting and relaxing!

Mia isn't allowed on the furniture - but she begged to sit with Sydney.
Hot chocolate after all the snow play!

Baking with Mommy.  Actually, they bake, I just watch!

Pajamas, playroom time and games! Love our snow days!
 Helping me prep dinner!
Playing in the snow is exhausting!

Spring Break

Its been a tradition for the last several years for us to spend spring break at our camp and the ski slopes with Papa! The girls love skiing and Papa beams with pride watching them! Thanks for a fun visit Papa! We love you!

We arrived at camp on Saturday afternoon and Papa came to stay with us that night. We drove into VT the following morning to have brunch at our favorite ski restaurant, swim in Papa's hotel pool, and arrange ski equipment rental for the next day.  On Monday we drove back to VT so the girls could spend the day skiing with Papa and their ski instructor (same one for the last two years)! Jim stayed back at camp to work that day.  He drove into VT that evening to meet us for dinner at our other favorite ski town restaurant! Tuesday was also spent on the ski slopes.  The girls had a blast skiing with Daddy and Papa!

The weekend was freezing, but nice.  We took several walks and played at the lake and on the dock. Counting down the days until the summer!!!

Besides swimming in the lake, this is their favorite spot at camp. Crafting and Legos.

 Papa's visit to camp!

I think they enjoy swimming in the heated outdoor pool almost as much as they love skiing with Papa!
Reading books to a tired Mia!

Happy 8th Birthday Sawyer Molly

My baby turned 8 in February. This feisty, witty, hilarious, spirited girl makes my heart melt.  She has such a sweet heart and is always looking after other people.  Being fair is very important to her and she always wants to make sure that everyone is being treated well.  She is most definately a crazy, spirited girl who loves to laugh and have fun! She is also the most amazing reader.  She can be found sitting on the couch reading book after book after book.  Sometimes I have to remind her to just play and relax a little bit! Reading way above her grade level and enjoying all varieties of books.  She makes my heart melt every morning when I drop them off at the bus stop.  She will turn around and blow me kisses before she hops on the bus!

May your crazy, hilarious, strong personality (that sometimes gets you in trouble) make you soar through life.  We love you so much! Thanks for bringing all the giggles (and even my gray hairs) into our world!

Harry Potter birthday girl! Many thanks to our family for helping Sawyer get horse back riding lessons this spring.  She didn't want presents, she wanted to earn cash for private lessons!

Sydney and I found her a pair of boots that will be good for horse back riding lessons.  She was thrilled!!!

We have plenty of chair and tables, but somehow, all the kids (and Nana) end up eating cake on the steps!

After all of the cake and ice cream, it was time for sled riding!!
