The girls had a fantastic time tonight! They loved racing from house to house and were very excited to show me their yummy treats! Thanks to Jon and Karyn for hosting a fun night!
So exhausted...so just a quick share tonight. Actually, I didn't take too many pictures. I did stop at my favorite old truck to take a few quick pictures of the girls on our way to friends'.

Just some more randomness
I am really ahead of schedule with editing family sessions and preschool photos, so I have been taking a ton of photos of the girls lately. Just playing. In between sickness. In between running around like a crazy family.
Speaking of sickness, Sydney had a really restless night last night and woke up at 4:30 this morning complaining that her ear hurt her. This is 3 nights in a row that she was so restless. She didn't wake up much, but would fuss in her sleep. I made an dr appt for both of them this morning because Sawyer had a fever all day yesterday. She was a mess. The poor thing doesn't handle fevers as well as Sydney does. She spent most of the day on my lap and barely lifted her head off of my shoulder when Daddy got home last night.
So, after all that, Sydney has an ear infection and a lot of congestion in her chest. Dr gave her the liquid Z pack. Only a 5 day script. Sawyer, although very snotty, didn't have an infection.
My poor feverish Sawyer Molly. She spent most of the day yesterday fussing and cuddling on my lap. She more than made up for it today by being such a chatterbox. Jim and I were in hysterics. At one point I tried to tune out her chatter and she yells from the backseat "Talk to me Mommy." She doesn't like to be ingored anymore than I do. So I guess I understand : )

Bubble Toes
I love bathing the girls in the late afternoon. Especially this time of year when the light is so perfect. As much as I hate their tiny little bathroom, I am going to miss that big huge window for many reasons. Luckily the new house has a big jack and jill bathroom between their bedrooms and we will install a big transom window above their new vanity.
I figured I would capture as many photos of them in this tubby while I have the chance before we move.

Good light and quiet afternoon
I should be editing family sessions and nursery school pictures, but I had to download these cute photos of my little ladies enjoying a quiet afternoon.
The picture below makes my heart swell. My girl was scoping the magazine for Xmas gift ideas. Can I just tell you how much my girls are talking about Christmas this year. We made the mistake of walking the girls down the toy section on afternoon and they asked for this and this and this. I said that Santa would be coming soon enough and we would make him a list. Now I pretty much remind them that Santa knows when they aren't listening or when they are misbehaving! I know, evil mom I am. But man, it sure works for Sydney! Soybean, not so much. She is still ornery...sweet, but ornery.

My girl has a fever
There have been so many sick kids at school in the last week. I was hoping we could avoid the sickness, but this morning Sydney woke up with a cough and this evening she had a fever over 102 degrees.
My poor feverish girl.

Private Swim Lessons
My girls love swimming. I mean, love swimming. I signed them up for another session of private lessons. They are having a great time already. I hope to get in at least one more private session before we move. Ms Stephanie works so well with the girls and they love her. Her approach works so well with them. Sydney is now swimming the whole lesson with no flotation belt. I am so proud of her. She can swim back and forth without any help. Now she is working on learning to float on her back and learning to swim completely under water for longer than a second or two (like a mermaid). Sawyer is rocking the lessons too. She is only wearing a small flotation belt and can swim a little bit without a belt.
Look at that happy smile! She is so proud of herself. I am so proud too!

Outside
Finally, some nice enough weather for us to spend some afternoons outside. We couldn't get enough outside time these last few evenings. I had to drag the ladies in the other night to feed them!
Too tired to write...too much going on. Here are just a few images from the other night.

Cowgirl Princess
The girls got to play at the preschool today while I was photographing all of the 3 year old preschool kids. Sawyer kept saying hello to me everytime I would come in to get another child. At one point she asked if I could take her picture. I told her as soon as I was done with all of the school kids that I would take her photo. She and Sydney and their friend Madilyn were playing dress up. When I told her it was her turn to get her picture taken (just for fun) she came outside dressed like this...
It breaks my heart knowing that Sawyer will not have the opportunity to attend this wonderful preschool. I am grateful that Sydney has had her time there and I am sure we will find another nice preschool back in PA. It is just another reminder that, although I am thrilled beyond words to move back home, I will be leaving pieces of my heart here in NY.

picture size
Notice that the horizontal pictures are smaller than the vertical ones? Annoying! It cuts off half the horizontal picture when I try to make it x-large. Anyone know how I can fix this in blogger?
Bethany's Bangs
Bethany got a new haircut while I was visiting. She and Jess popped over to visit and I didn't have much light left outside to take a photo. That is why I am having her look up at the sky...to get the last of the light.
She looks great in bangs. Pap Pap was teasing her that now she looks like she is 12 years old and not 15. I actually think she looks a little older.

Jared the Football Guy
I got Jared a skull cap at Dick's the other day while I was home visiting the family. It goes underneath his football helmet to absorb the moisture. I thought he looked so cool in it that I had to take a picture...ok, I took a few...but here is one.

Second Field Trip
We had our second school field for the Fall. We went to our favorite farm owned by some of my most favorite people. Hayride, playground, bounce pillow, corn maze, cider and donuts! What a fun morning we had. The sun was shining bright this morning and yet again, picture taking in full sun is no fun! But I managed to catch some adorable snapshots of the girls this morning.

Driving
The girls and I had a ton of errands to run today (for Daddy's birthday tomorrow). We spent the better part of the day in the car and at one intersection, I had to hit the brakes pretty hard. From the backseat I hear this...
Sydney to her baby doll: "It's ok little baby, I've got you. Mommy is driving too fast."
No lie. I swear.
It made me chuckle.

Snap shots in the dark
This empty box has been such a source of entertainment for the girls. Too bad I filled it up yesterday afternoon! Maybe I will go buy more empty boxes for them!
This time of year always gets me a little down. The evenings grow so short now that fall is upon us. It is so dark by 6:30 at night now that I am pulling my flash out more often just to capture some moments.
I wouldn't mind the darker evenings so much if the weather were nice, but we have been stuck inside so much lately because of this rain. I hate it. We like to spend a lot of time outside playing in the driveway or going strollering. Luckily the girls are thoroughly enjoying our evenings spent in the playroom. They are playing with all of their toys. They don't even miss the ones that I packed up!!!
Field trip
We went apple picking for a second time on Friday. Sydney's preschool field trip was a little muddy, but we had fun anyway. They were so excited to be apple picking again that they didn't notice the muddy fields or their wet shoes. Shame on me for not having rain boots that fit them. Here are just a few photos from the day. Excuse the quality of photos. I don't feel like editing or resizing anything tonight. Too tired and too stressed.
This picture below cracks me up. Sydney had to go "pee really bad" but I asked her to stop by the barn wall for a quick photo. Clearly she was too occupied with her full bladder to give me a good smile.
