Evening Light

My girls are early risers so they go to bed early too.  Not much time to play outside after dinner since it is bedtime!  The last two nights have just been too nice, so we played outside way past bedtime!  Lucky them! I love taking pictures in the evening light, especially during these sunny evenings!

Sydney loves all things nature!  She was contemplating whether or not I would notice if more flowers dissappeared from the flower beds!

Another fun filled day

Daddy took the girls out last night to pick out a new bike for Sawyer (mommy exercised in the glorious 86 degrees and sunny weather).  Sawyer was so excited to try it out today so we spent much of the afternoon biking and scootering.  After it got too hot, they threw on their bathing suits and I took them to the local park/creek so they could splash around in the freezing cold water!  Then back home for more bike riding, dinner baths and then CRASH!

The evening light was so pretty streaming into our family room tonight.  I had to get their some photos.

Warm Sunny Evening

Sydney and Sawyer had a fun night with Sydney's school friend.  The night was so warm so we took all three girls outside to play.  Bubbles and sidewalk chalk fun.

Naps or No Naps

Well the no nap thing has been a work in progress.  Sawyer Molly loves her naps.  I napped her today because Sydney's school friend came over for a pizza, movie night playdate and I knew they would be up late.

I know I take way too many nap pictures, but I am going to miss this sleepy, sweaty just up from nap face when she is finally all done with naps!

Mother's Day

We had a nice Mother's Day.  Jim cooked for me and my mom!  He even did all the shopping and prep work.  Such a good hubby!

I realized at the end of the day (and just before bedtime) that I didn't get a picture with the girls and I!  I hate having my picture taken.  I need to stop being so wigged out by it and actually get in the pictures with my girls.  I am horrified to say that there are so few pictures of me with the girls.  Anyway, by the end I didn't feel like getting out of my jammy clothes and didn't feel like combing the girls' hair, so we just took a quick snap of the three of us.  Don't judge.  It isn't pretty and I don't even have lipstick on.  I never go anywhere without lipstick, EVER. But I love having a picture of the three of us together on Mother's Day!

Cell phones and silliness

The girls grabbed their toy cell phones the other day and started to chit chat with each other from afar.  Sydney lounged herself across the couch and looked like a typical teenager being lazy while chatting on the phone!  It made me giggle.  Then it made me break out into a sweat thinking in a few short years, she really will be a kid, being lazy on the couch chatting on her real cell phone with her friends!

 Sawyer was down the hallway hanging off the stairs.  They had a really long conversation!  Silly ladies.

Crappy Weather Game

I have pretty much decided that this spring has been the biggest tease ever!  We had an early warm up with lots of sun.  Now it is chilly and cloudy and rainy again!  Compounding my problems is the fact that I am trying to keep Sawyer up during the days without a nap.  Not going well...to say the least.  She is feisty when she is tired and she lashes out and Sydney and myself.  Problem is, when she naps, she then doesn't want to go to bed until 8:30 which is too late for Sydney who is ready for bed by 7pm!  It was working out better when we had the beautiful weather because we spent every waking moment outside.  Now that we are stuck inside, little Miss Feisty and I are having issues.

Sometimes we find a fun game to play that keeps her happy.  It just so happens that tossing a little ball across the dining room table was just the funniest thing for her!

Spring Pictures

Oh my girls...they hate my camera!  Of course the best time to take photos is the evening right before sunset.  The lighting is perfect but my kids aren't! This is bedtime for them!  Ugh.  I attempted a few pictures of them tonight because the sun peaked out after the all day rain showers.  I knew the lighting would be wonderful and I knew the flowering tress would be sparkling!  I got one of each girl that I loved, but they wouldn't cooperate for pictures together!  Ugh.

Tubs and Toes

With so much time being spent outside these days, we are bathing the girls all the time now!  I never get tired of taking tubby photos.  Especially the wrinkled toes!

Scooters

Jared and the girls were scootering the other day. As always, we are enjoying the warm weather and the countless hours spent outside playing.

These girls have the best balance on these scooters. I never get tired of watching them ride!  Jared's love of scooters has really rubbed off on my girls.  

 Sawyer fell and banged up her knee.  The bandaid fixed the issue, but she took a few minutes to rest her sore boo boo before hopping back on her scooter for more fun!

 Jared tested out the girls' Barbie scooters...hahaha!!
