Reading time

We love our reading time.  The girls especially love reading with Daddy at night.

Charlie's hiding spots

Bubble Bath

A rare treat in the jet tub full of bubbles! The mess they make is crazy bad but they have so much fun playing.  Evenings are so boring during the cold winter months.  It is fun finding things to do to occupy their time!

Running in Circles

This time of the year is so hard for us! It gets dark so early and when we would normally be outside taking a walk or playing, it is now dark and dreary!  Now the girls have taken to running around the house and driving me nuts!  Santa is bringing them a big indoor (7foot) trampoline for the basement.  Christmas can't get here fast enough!  I hope that bouncing on the trampoline will help wear them out and get rid of the punchy behavior that makes me nuts!

Silly Soybean running circles around the dining table...in princess shoes...on slippery wood floors!  Need I say more?!

Goofs

Who knew that getting jammies on could turn into a fit of giggles and silliness?

Charlie

Charlie has a little surprise for the girls tomorrow morning!

Playing catch up...

Lazy mornings.  Dark winter (almost) days, lots of pictures.

 Cuddles with monkey.

Hide and seek with Sawyer Molly
Excuse the craft paper on the wall in the background.  Adding to my frame collection slowly!
Old dog Izzy.  Her favorite place to sleep these days.

All dressed for school...before the sun even came out!  Early riser girls!

Oh Charlie...

Charlie, you make my girls laugh every morning.  It puts a smile on my face to see them getting into the Christmas spirit!  I love it!

Only Sawyer

Only Sawyer can make eating an apple a goofy game!

Trimming the Tree

We decorated the tree this evening.  I am sure I will have some adjustments to make tomorrow, but the girls really did do a great job putting the ornamants on.  Pretty tree.

Yeah, Daddy is drinking a beer already...it was that kind of evening!

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree

It was a warmer day so we decided to get our Christmas tree today.  Both girls were kinda grumpy, but we had a good time walking the tree farm in search of the perfect tree.  We decided to tuck the tree in the one corner so we stuck with an 8 foot tree.  I couldn't decide between a normal size or a tall one as we have the pitched roof line in the family room that would allow for a huge tree.  I decided on the normal size since I don't have enough ornaments!  As it was, we went to Target this afternoon to buy a dozen or so more ornaments.  The girls had fun picking them out!  The first ones they picked were Disney Princesses.  Of course they wanted to play with them when we got home and within a few minutes, Sydney's princess broke.  I warned them, but they didn't listen!  She was disappointed but recovered quickly.  I was more irritated by the $10 waste of money!

A bunch of pictures from our day on the farm.  We missed the Ellms tree farm in NY, but we are trying to make new memories here in PA.  This was a nice place to start.

 Sydney finding treasures.
Smelling the delicious scent of the Concolor trees.  I like the way they smell, but not the way they look.  The girls were so excited to pull the needles apart to smell the yummy citrus scent.
 Tree hugger.

As is a tradition, both girls always wind up tripping on the tree stumps!
Being a big girl helper and pulling the cart with Daddy.  Getting my husband jeans that actually fit his butt ; )
 Moody girl...
Again, tripping over the tree stumps!
My lovable girl kissing her tree.

Yeah! We found a good tree.  Poor Daddy had to pull it all the way back to the farm!
