We had our master bedroom painted late last week and the girls and I found the perfect bedding to match. I love the new color and bedding. Sawyer woke up from her nap and wanted to see the room again so she jumped on the bed and I snapped a few pictures of her testing out the new look. She was in a funny mood and gave me some funny faces. Crazy girl and crazy nap time hair!

Secret Hideout Picnic
It was so beautiful out the other day and the girls were running around under their secret hideout tree. I decided that a snack picnic would be the perfect way to spend the afternoon outside. We quickly went inside and Sydney grabbed a blanket while Sawyer and I packed some snacks. Sydney was very excited to carry the blanket out to the tree. It was so cute watching her lay the blanket out so neatly. Sawyer and I picked a few pears from the tree. We even picked enough for the dogs to have one! Here are just a few pictures of us enjoying our Secret Hideout Picnic.

Country Living
Country living means... waking my girls up from a nap... grabbing our crocs out of the mudroom... walking out to the front of our property to pick a few peaches and pears off of the trees and then taking a nice stroll up the road... not seeing a single car on the road as my girls and I snack on the fruit and enjoy the unseasonably cool weather...
Friends and Fun
Friends came for a playdate last week. The kids had so much fun running around and playing. Always fun seeing friends..

Test Print
I got some really nice pictures of Bethany and Jared while they were here. I got a test shot done of Bethany on foamboard and I love it so much. I am sure my sister will freak out when she sees it. I plan on printing and mounting another HUGE copy of this one for my own house. The one of Jared should turn out beautfiully too. Can't wait!
Here is the one of Bethany. Not that I want her to grow up any faster, but I can't wait to take her senior pictures!

Traditions
Every year the kids have spent their two week vacation here, I have always taken them to paint pottery. We probably only missed one year out of all of these years.
We went there twice this year! The first time I took just Bethany and Jared while my girls napped. Of course, I forgot my camera that day. The second time we went, the girls, Jared and I went. At least I remembered my camera that time.
Here are a few photos of the kids painting. I love their creations. I have so many from past years.

Froggy Friend
Sydney found another froggy friend at camp this weekend. She treated the little froggy so nicely and then sent it back home after a nice visit!
The big kids 2011
It is hard to believe that the Bethany and Jared's visit is already over. They left today amongst tears. I am sure Julia, Jon and Sarah miss them as much as me and my girls miss them!
We had a great visit to camp this weekend with all SEVEN kids!!!! The weather was perfect for boating, tubing, rock jumping and swimming! They even managed to stay "disconnected" from phones, texting, internet and TV! Imagine that! I joked with them that life is grand when we can stay in the moment (even if only for a few days). The older girls had their cell phones in hand and impatiently waited until cell phone service was restored on the way home yesterday afternoon. Also, my head was throbbing after listening to their music on the drive home. They like to listen to music so loudly! It is no wonder that they all have hearing problems!!! Ok, maybe that is selective hearing! : )

Poor Izzy and Remi Dogs
My girls sure do love to tuck the doggies in! Not sure how much the doggies like to be tucked in. Especially after they have had a nice long exhausting run and swim at camp.
Carefree teenager
Carefree teenager. That pretty much describes our Bethany girl. Ok, I can think of some other things...but she is a teenager and she is my favorite photo subject, so I will forget the not so nice teenager quirks (messy rooms, stealing my products, texting all the time, loud music...ha ha) and just be happy that she loves to be my model!

We are having a great time having Bethany and Jared here in NY. They are getting lots of camp time and lots of friends time. We are heading back to camp tomorrow for a long weekend. Julia, Jon and Sarah will be joining us so Bethany and Jared will have a really fun filled weekend!
