Goofy Girl

More snaps from camp

Izzy dog spent everyday with us at the beach.  She begged for our picnic lunches, waded in the water when she got warm, ran around sniffing at things, visited us on the dock and was just the best dog ever.  This is how she spent her evenings.  Exhausted and sound asleep. Poor old girl. Camp wears her out!
Sydney drew a picture and the two of us.  Love how she included my glasses in this picture.  So cute.
 Our "lizard" friends.
More creatures.  They couldn't get enough of the turtles, frogs and "lizards"
We ate about a million nectarines this summer.  They were so yummy.  Especially the ones from the farm stands.
One afternoon while at the market, Sawyer Molly asked me for popcorn.  She chowed her bowl down but Sydney didn't like the salt.  Usually I air pop popcorn but we don't have a popper at camp.  I wasn't surprised that Soybean loved her snack and Sydney could have done without.  Same thing goes with sweet treats.
One super tan girl, the other only a little tan!
Wide angle and weird lighting fun!
Warm evening light comes beaming in our windows.  I love taking pictures this time of night in front of the slider door off the deck.  Sawyer loves to smile for me too!

3 and a half

Saywer turned 3.5 years old on August 12.  As a tradition, I made a half cake for the half birthday celebration.  Sydney, Sawyer and I were living at camp, so I had limited cake decorating stuff, so the cake was pretty boring looking.  Good tasting, just boring.  Soybean didn't care!

3.5 years old.  Where has the time gone??

3.5 years has been good for us.  She has grown up a lot in the past few months and seems to have grown out of her somewhat challenging period.  I look back and realize that those last few months in NY were a major challenge for all of us.  I know that has a lot to do with some of the issues we were having with her.

She is an amazing little girl.

Enjoying her half cake at camp!!!

Cute Girl

Another favorite from camp.  Sawyer Molly loves the camera.  Sydney, not so much.

Meet the Teacher Day

Round two of meet the teacher day.  Today was Sawyer's day!  She did great.  She was a bit overwhelmed when we went to the school to meet her teacher as there were a ton of parents there along with the 14 kids that will be in her class.  She was excited to meet her teacher but did stay close to my side for the time that we were there.  Luckily she is familiar with the school as we have visited several times while getting them both signed up there.  We got to peak on Sydney's class today while we were there.

I know she needs this and she is going to thrive and love it, but wow, both of them in school.  I am gonna miss them.

Timid smile...and her new school bag that the school provides.

School Days

My big girl started kindergarten today.  I couldn't have been more proud of her as she climbed on the school bus with a big smile on her face.  She woke up bright and early asking whether it was time for school or not.  Nana came over to help me see her off.  We drove to the end of the street and waited for the bus.  She sweetly waved to the bus as it pulled over to pick her up.

I am so happy that two of her school friend will be riding the bus with her this year.  Their little blonde heads were poking out the window this morning as I was snapping pictures of the bus.

So much more to say about my feelings of this day and the decisions we made for her this year, but a few pictures for now.

Lots more from camp...

Someday I will get around to writing about our two months at camp.  In the meantime, here are the pictures to show you what we did!

It was worth the risk to the camera too!

Soybean always curls her toes like this.  Love it.  Getting this one BIG on my wall.
