Sawyer is blowing me away with how quickly she is learning to read! She's bombing through the phonics books and now working her way to level 1 and 2 books. With a little help from her big sister!

Toothless face
Sawyer lost her front tooth the other day! I can't even handle the cuteness. I so love this awkward missing tooth stage!

The many faces of Reese Rene!
Silly Reese. She took a long nap at my house the other day and woke up with the most joyful smiles! Such a sweet, happy baby girl!
"I want to be an author"
Sydney always says that she wants to be an author and illustrator. I love to encourage her creativity and love of reading. The other day her weekly folder came home from school with a letter indicating that Sydney is being invited to join a creative writing enrichment group!! I was so excited to read this letter for so many reasons. School work hasn't always come easy for Syd, but she always works hard and never gives up. All that work is paying off! Her teacher has told me on multiple occasions what a good student she is and how hard she works! I was so touched that her teacher recommended her for this opportunity. It makes my heart proud that she is excelling in an area that is so important to her. May her love of writing, reading and creating take her far!
So proud of you, my sweet Sydney girl!

Celebrating 16 and 6
Saturday was a full day of family, food and fun! We celebrated Jared's 16th birthday and Sawyer Molly's 6th birthday!!!! Thanks to our families for always being here for us!
Years ago when I was pregnant with Sawyer we were driving with Bethany and Jared in the car. I was explaining to the kids that the fetus growing in my belly was this big (using my fingers to indicate the size) and Jared said "if the feet are that big, how big is the rest of it?" I love this memory! It always warms my heart when I think back on that conversation! He was just a 9 year old kiddo and now he is 16 years old and learning to drive!
Sawyer Molly, my sweet 6 year old girl, had so much fun hanging out with her cousins. The kids enjoyed playing with Sawyer's new flying fairy, eating lots of yummy food and opening presents.
Little Mermaid party themed fun! Thanks to Jared for putting up with all of the Little Mermaid themed decor. I know he didn't mind, so long as he got his cookie cake and his new sneakers!!!

New Spring Dresses
I ordered the girls' their new dresses for a spring picture. Now we just have to wait a few more months for spring to arrive! They wanted to try their dresses on so I said sure as long as they would let me grab a quick picture. Mismatched socks work really well with Matilda Jane Dresses! Not so much!
Gifts for my big girl 6 year old
We had such a fun afternoon and evening celebrating Sawyer's birthday! Daddy came home early so we could take the girls bowling and out to our favorite pizza restaurant! Home for a quick bath and them present opening time!! She loved her flying fairy and singing bird. Love this little girl and her fun personality!
