Quick trip to the beach

We had a fun time visiting Papa at the beach.  The girls swam in the freezing cold ocean water.  Then they wanted to jump the waves even deeper which means I had to get all the way into the ocean! Too cold for me, but I has so much fun watching them jumping the waves, diving under them or dunking under the big ones! They are such water girls. We wish we had brought the boogie boards with us from Papa's house, but neither Jim nor I thought they would be able to swim in the cold water for so long! Three hours of swimming! Even though it was super hot outside, the beach breeze made the day so pleasant.

A few days at the lake

Jim heads to camp every Memorial Day for our annual neighborhood meeting and beach clean up days.  Some years the girls and I join him, other years not.  This year the girls and I went along and it was awesome! The weather was half rainy, half nice, but we still manage to have the best time ever. Playing and hiking in the rain, getting the house ready for our summer there, visiting with camp neighbors and friends, finding lake glass, catching lake turtles and frogs.  We even pulled out our new summer workbooks for a little bit of school work.
