Outside time is our favoirte time

We have been living outside lately!  The weather is perfect!  Two afternoons in a row we have hit the park right after school.  Tonight's weather stayed perfect so we headed back outside after dinner for more fun.  The girls hammed it up for my camera tonight.  Wish they would cooperate this much and give me these genuine smiles when I try to take "real" photos of them!

Healthy Kids Run

I signed the girls up for a running race series.  The first race was late this afternoon.  What a wonderful event coordinated by a friend of mine.  My girls were so excited.  I was so proud of them. Jim went to the top of the race course with them while I stayed at the finish line to get a few pictures. He said that Sydney kept waving to the crowd as she ran.  So fitting of that little lady's personality. Sawyer rocked it out too.  She wasn't the least bit intimidated by the large crowd (something that bothers her a little).  I will look forward to the next 4 weeks of this series of races.  

Painting Pottery

I treated the girls to pottery painting this morning.  It is such a special treat for them to choose a piece of pottery to paint and then to wait for the finished project.

Sawyer mentioned this morning that she didn't have a piggy bank in her room to put her coins in.  I decided that painting one would be more fun than buying one!

Beach Visit

We went to see Papa over Labor Day weekend!  We had the perfect weather for spending hours at the beach!  The girls went boogie boarding and had so much fun catching the big waves.  We also spent a ton of time jumping in the waves!

Cousin Teddy painted and refurbished an old tractor and cart so Papa took the girls on several cart rides!  So much fun!

Papa surprised the girls with a Monster High Doll for their visit.  They were super happy! Thanks Papa!!
