Wow, I haven't been this far behind in blogging ever before. Life, swim team, house projects, etc. have all taken over this winter.
Christmas with these sweet girls was amazing! We had a fun day picking out our giant tree. They did most of the decorating themselves, except for the tall branches. Then daddy had to climb the ladder for those tall spots! Baking cookies, Gingerbread House decorating, time spent with our families.
We surprised the both girls with a special gift. Sydney has been asking for a sewing machine for so long. I scoured an amazing deal on Amazon right around Thanksgiving. I wasn't planning on getting her one until after she took some sewing lessons, but I couldn't pass up the amazing deal. Nana helped her get it set up and she has been taking a weekly lesson over this winter.
Sawyer, my fancy girl, has been begging for fancy boots. I always hesitate to buy icky shoes because I am a firm believer in quality footwear (by overly arched and flexible feet require good shoes). I knew a fancy pair of boots would bring the biggest smile to her face, so I found the sweetest wooden clog boots. She was thrilled!
Christmas eve was a fun night spent with our family at our house. After the family left, we baked cookies for Santa, chopped veggies for the reindeer and sprinkled reindeer food in the yard. Daddy read the Night Before Christmas and we tracked Santa's travels. Traditions are the best.
