It's beginning to look a lot like a playroom

I have coveted a living room and family room space for all of the years that we have owned homes. Never before did I have one until now. The first house we bought in PA back in 1999 only had a large family room. The house we bought in NY only had one large great room. Finally, this house we have now has both a family and living room side by side with a big opening. I was so excited about having a nice formal living room and a casual family room. How I have longed for that look. Why??? I have no idea???? Jim makes fun of me all the time and several people have asked me what the point is. I don't know. No matter, our living room and family room are covered in toys and I am slowly starting to convert the living room into a playroom. The activity table sits in the middle of the living room floor and the girls and I use it so much. I have decided that two walls will remain "grown up" with the nice couches and wall hangings. The other two walls are beginning to look a lot like a playroom. I just need to get a few pictures of the girls enlarged to go above their table and bookcase.

Aunt Adrien got Sydney a Dorforms activity game for Easter. She loves to sit there and place the static pieces onto the carboard dolls.
Then Sawyer comes to snatch it while Sydney steps away for a quick moment.
This little lady is such a daredevil. Climbing on chairs and acting like a much older toddler. I am going to have my hands full with this one....more so than I already do. She is just so sweet, I try to forget the moments when I have to run and catch her before she tumbles over.
Such concentration when playing. She loves her new table and chairs. Thanks goodness for washable markers!

So, for a few years, I have to put up with lots of toys : ) They are worth it. I kind of like the half living room half playroom thing. It works for us : )
