We have a neighborhood park that we frequent often. Right beside the park is a dry well (same location I took their Christmas card pictures). We got a snow storm right after the holiday that dropped 8 inches of perfect sled riding snow. Jim had to work that day, so I decided to bundle the girls up and take them to the park to sled ride. The hills surrounding the dry well are short and pretty steep for a 5 year and and almost 4 year old! They loved it. I think they would have been happy with an even bigger hill! Fearless kids.
They whined while climbing the hill so I had to pull the sled back up for them. I only got a few pictures because I didn't want to drop the camera on a snowy hillside!
We will be doing this again soon. They had so much fun. We got even more snow the weekend after Christmas. 12 inches total with both snowfalls! Seriously!!?? Hope this is not an indication of what winter will be like this year. We were in Maryland visiting friends when the additional 5 inches of snow fell. Thanks to my dad for plowing our steep driveway while we were on vacation! It was nice coming home to a cleared off driveway.
Sledding pix!
It's too hard, Mommy!
Shaking snow in her face! What a goofball she is.
