Grumpy Kid

Jim and I really dislike having to run errands on a weeknight, but we were just about out of diapers so it was necessary. So we ate dinner, packed up the girls and headed to BJ's. Sydney was in great spirits and walked along with us in the store because she is a big girl and doesn't like sitting in a cart too much these days. Got our stuff, got out of there and listened to the Chipmunk Chrsitmas song over and over in the car on the way home. We were chatting about all of the Christmas lights still lit and Sydney mentioned the Elmo Christmas lights (we drive past a house on our way home from daycare). I told her that Christmas is over and most people are taking their lights down, including the Elmo house. All of the sudden she starts crying! I mean really really crying and then she starts to get really loud so I turn the Chipmunks song off (my ears are ringing from her fits and the music). That set her off even more when I shut the music off. Jim and I are laughing at this point because of her ridiculous outburst. Jim makes a quick stop at Stewarts and I stay in the car with the girls. By this time Sydney has settled a little. I turn around in my seat and ask her what is wrong. She tell me "I sad." I ask why she is sad and she says "music off." 2 1/2 year olds! Having fits over Christmas lights and music! Little Sawyer Molly is just sitting in the back of the truck as quiet as can be...that good baby : )

I am sleepy too, Miss Sawyer...especially after the fits your sister gave me tonight...ahh...
