Happy New Year!

How does one go about starting a personal blog....I am not even sure where to start. Maybe I will start with a list of things about me because the rest of the blog will be about everyone but me!

Here's the Jody List:

1. I am the mom of two adorable, sweet and funny little girls, Sydney Elizabeth and Sawyer Molly. They are the light of my life.
2. I am a wife to a really good man who is also a fantastic daddy to his two baby girls.
3. I am about to become a full time mom...I have known nothing but work for a very long time, so giving up my day job to become a full time mom is both exciting and scary to me all at once. I sure hope my little ladies enjoy seeing me 24/7. I am excited for all of us. Life needs to slow down for us a little and having me home will help us focus on all that is important.
4. I am an avid reader...Can you guess what kind of books I like to read? FBI/Suspense are my favorite. That is how I came up with the title of the blog. Sometimes I think special investigative skills are required to raise children! Especially when trying to navigate the logic of a 31 month old. Special Agent Mom is what I am! I used to read books in a matter of a day or two, now I can barely get through one in a month : ( Full time job, two toddlers, a side photography job and all other responsiblities leave no time for reading.
5. Photography has been my hobby since high school and more so after my niece and two nephews were born. I have thousands of photos in nice albums of the three kids. I went to digital photography of a long time ago and now all of my photos are stuck in a computer and not in albums! The age of digital...sometimes a blessing and sometimes not. My poor babies have thousands of pictures but not a single album to look through. I upgraded to a really fantastic camera about a year and a half ago and have almost 14,500 shots on that camera...yes, you read that correctly....14,500. My cameras numbering system changes after 10,000 pictures so all of my numbers are starting over again. How is it that I have taken so many photos in only a year and a half...well, I have been doing lots of weddings and family photo sessions. I am hoping to continue to grow my side business so that I can continue to get my name out there doing something that is so important to me. http://studiobphotography-jody.blogspot.com/
6. I am kind of boring...yikes...I have to admit. Boring hair, boring clothes, boring taste in a lot of things...but life in our household is anything but borning these days.
7. My only New Year's resolution was to finally get around to creating a personal blog. Yeah! I did it. I can't promise that I will post every day, but at least I started one.
8. See, I am boring, I can't think of another thing to write about myself! I only got to number 8. How sad.

So here is my almost 31 month old, Sydney Elizabeth. My very sweet and spirited child. My first born...my little buddy. I can't say enough about this little lady. She makes me laugh all the time, she has been an easy baby since day one and she is the best eater in the world. How often to you hear a parent of a toddler say that? She is friendly, bold and wonderful. I am so happy to have her as my own.

This little beauty is my second born. Sawyer Molly. She brings such joy to our lives and she is also the easiest baby ever. She has the most amazing personality. Always smiling and oh so curious. I am in complete denial that she will be a year old in a few short weeks. It seems like only yesterday that she was a tiny (well not exactly tiny) little baby. Time really does whiz by in a flash. More so with the second baby.

This little lady had a crazy beginning. Daddy and I delivered her ourselves in my tiny little car along the highway on a cold winters night. It will be a night that we will never forget and a story that she will alway have to tell to all of her friends.
