Christmas Eve was spent with my family after we got back from our road trip visiting with Jim's family. Jess, Kevin, Bethany and Jared came into town so we have been trying to spend as much time with them before they head back home. After Christmas Eve dinner we came back home and the girls exchanged their sister gifts, we set cookies out for Santa, veggies for the reindeer, tracked Santa, read The Night Before Christmas, then finally tucked the girls into bed for the night! I was too excited to sleep!
Shockingly, the girls slept until 7 am. They have been so tired, a little under the weather and so busy!
They were thrilled to see their presents under the tree and were very patient while we waited for Aunt Jess and Uncle Kevin to come downstairs. They loved their stocking stuffers. My favorite thing to do for Christmas. Mommy and Daddy surprised them with the American Girl Doll bed. Santa got them the dolls they have been talking about for a year and several accessories to go along with the dolls.
After spending a few hours at home this morning, we headed back to my parent's house for more gift opening (total chaos, a couple of happy teenagers and 4 super excited youngsters) and a yummy ham dinner. Syd and Sawyer got a ton of American Girl Doll accessories from the family! They were so thrilled. The teenagers got piles of cash. They were also thrilled, The littlest girls got lots of fun toys and were so cute while opening gifts!
After we got back home this evening, the girls enjoyed spending the time playing with their new dolls and all the accessories in the playroom. I tortured them with the camera for a few minutes!
It was a wonderful holiday and we can't thank our families enough for making it extra special for our girls. I have a feeling they will be in their playroom for hours and hours, playing with all of their new treasures!

We set up their new American Girl Doll toys up in the playroom after we got back from Nana and Pap-Pap's house. I had to drag them upstairs for bedtime!
