Back from the beach

We just got back from the beach this evening. Grandma and Papa had a great time hanging with the girls. It was a nice weekend and the weather was beautiful. We took a walk to the neighbors' dock on the first night. It was just past sunset and the sky was beautiful.

Papa and Sydy enjoyed the view. High ISO and wide open aperture makes for a noisy and soft focused picture, but I love it anyway. What a sweet moment.

So I had my hopes set high that the girls would be cooperative for their "beach photo shoot." I should have known better! They were so well behaved but they were just way to curious and adventurous to sit still for a nice photo. Jim put it into perspective for me by reminding me that the girls have only been to the ocean a few times so they want to explore. Explore they did! They had fun!

This photo cracks me up. Sydy couldn't get to the ocean water fast enough. She was dragging Sawyer with her!
Look at their little footprints in the sand! I love it.

I took this same shot a couple of months ago when we visited the beach in the summer. It is going to be a yearly shot! I love it so much.
This is my all time FaVoRiTe picture of Sydney ever!!! We got to the beach too early for me to shoot and Soybean fell alseep. We decided to stop in Margate to see the giant elephant. She was so excited. I got her to sit down on this bench and Daddy got her giggling over something. I love it!!!
We took a walk on the boardwalk with Papa on our last morning. Soybean fell asleep at the end of our walk. We took the stroller down to the beach and Sydy and I played in the surf for a little while. I think she would have gone swimming if I had let her! The water was cold but we were having too much fun to care. After we got back from the beach, we showered, packed and then had lunch with Grandma and Papa at a local seafood place. We got back on the road after lunch. As usual, the girls are amazing travelers. It didn't take them long to fall asleep (me too). They sang songs, they chatted and they only squawked for a second or two the whole trip! Those good girls.
Thanks for a great visit Grandma and Papa. We miss you already.
