Weak Moment

I don't like shopping much and I don't often have weak moments while shopping. Today was a rare exception. We spent the morning doing yardwork and generally just enjoying being outside on such a beautiful day. After lunch we headed to Saratoga because I needed to buy matching tights for a dress that I bought Sydney a few weeks ago. Instead of walking out of the children's boutique with just the tights, I walked out with a dress for Sawyer and a very special treat for Sydney! Check out her new handmade Princess Dress. I saw it in the store window and thought how cute it was. She caught sight of the dresses as soon as we walked into the store. I initially told her that Santa would be bringing her dress up clothes for Christmas. But then I picked it up to look at it and fell in love with it! She was so excited when I told her I would buy her the special surprise. She carried the bag all around town, through the park and into the coffee shop. It was so cute. As soon as we got home she asked to put it on. She wore it all day and now it is resting on her chair in her bedroom!!! I think she is going to wear it out!
The details on this dress are amazing. I wish I had the talent to sew.
I can't remember when her obsession with Princesses began. I don't push that stuff on them, but she just naturally became interested. She saw a Princess coloring set at BJ's the other night. I think this Christmas will be full of princess themed gifts!
